Inspired by the work of artist Tracy Emin, Paula created the phrase "La obra de arte soy yo" in neon and it was exhibited in a gallery during Art Basel 2013, the most important art show in the city of Miami. The original piece was an installation with a floating staircase that had the phrase in neon at the top. "It was a success, people just went to read the phrase, to take pictures, to say the I'm the artwork, but then Art Basel was over and when I went to put it away I said to myself: this can't stay in a crate, this must stay for longer." That's when she decided to paint over the streets of Miami's Design District with a stencil creating a movement that goes beyond art.
